At Discovery Pediatrics, we value the decades evidence based and  rigorous scientific research supporting the safety and effectiveness of childhood immunizations. 

We follow the recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics and support adherence to the standard childhood immunization schedule to best protect the health and well-being of all children in our care. 

To receive care at Discovery Pediatrics, we require that all patients remain up to date on immunizations in accordance with the American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines.  If this is something your family does not want to do,  we recommend you seek pediatric care with another practice. 

HPV, MCV4, and Men B are two-dose vaccine series given 6 months apart.

Fasting bloodwork may began at the 10/11 year visit

There may be minor variations in the timing of vaccines depending on individual circumstances, but we expect the primary vaccine series to be completed on schedule.

Seasonal Flu & COVID-19 Vaccines

We recommend annual influenza and COVID-19 vaccines for all patients over 6 months of age, as well as for parents, caregivers, and household members.

To make vaccination convenient for families, Discovery Pediatrics offers a Flu Shot Clinic during regular office hours and on select weekends throughout the fall season. This allows both our patients and their caregivers to stay protected.
